The site is built to collect as little as possible. It sets no cookies and has no accounts.

Visitor statistics
We count page views with GoatCounter, without cookies. For each view it records the page address, the referring page, an approximate country, the browser and operating system, the language and the screen width. To recognise repeat visits, GoatCounter holds the IP address and browser string in memory for up to 8 hours, linked to a random ID, and does not store them in its database. We cannot identify a visitor from the statistics, and we keep the counts for as long as the site runs. The count passes through our own server, which keeps no log of it. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), to know which pages are useful.
If you write to us, we keep your message and address for as long as handling the matter requires. Mail to our address passes through Cloudflare Email Routing to a Google mailbox, so those companies process it. Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering you.
Hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare processes technical request data to deliver pages and protect the service.
Links to other sites
Links to providers take you to their sites, where their own privacy policies apply. If you answer the question about affiliate links, your browser stores the answer on your device. It is not sent to us.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete data about you, object to processing, and complain to your national data protection authority. In Finland that is the Data Protection Ombudsman.
